I’m Esther – the hands, heart, and mind behind Rewired Handmade.
What began as "just another creative hobby" has grown into a daily passion. Blending my love for sewing, upcycling, and sustainable fashion, I created this shop to share my handmade pieces with the world – and to bring that little extra colour and joy to your wardrobe.
At Rewired Handmade, you'll find one-of-a-kind slow fashion and accessories, all lovingly crafted from preloved, thrifted, and vintage fabrics. Every item is made by me, by hand, with care, creativity, and close attention to detail. No two pieces are ever the same – and that’s exactly the point.
Shopping secondhand is already a great way to live more sustainably. But sometimes, you still crave something fresh – something "new", but something that still feels uniquely you. That’s where my upcycled creations come in: reclaimed, repurposed, and ready to be reloved.

Why “Rewired Handmade”?
The name Rewired Handmade came to me with a few different meanings in mind. On a practical level, it hints at transformation—something "old" being rethreaded, reshaped, and turned into something fresh and new.
More deeply, the name reflects a personal journey. I've always struggled with my emotional wellbeing quite a bit and was hopping from one creative outlet to another. Once I discovered my mum's old sewing machine, something sparked again inside me.
There was something incredibly healing about working with vibrant, once-forgotten vintage and thrifted fabrics — like giving new life to something that had been overlooked and forgotten. It felt like therapy, a gentle way of reconnecting with myself.
The process of upcycling preloved materials sparked a thought: if I could transform something discarded and "broken" into something beautiful and new, maybe I could do the same within myself? And that’s how 'Rewired' came to life — a creative outlet, that quite literally "rewired" my brain into a more joyful and vibrant state of being. The 'handmade' part was added to make it even more obvious that my items are all handmade ;).
